Default 2010 tech regulations

With any scale event, there will be some tech requirements. But in true Axle Twisters form they will be pretty open.

Unlimited Class


General-
Shaft driven scale rigs only
(CC-01 chassis exempt)
Any rigs that you may be concerned about legalities, can be reviewed by the AT club.

Chassis-
''Scale'' chassis, This means NO crawler plates.
Ladder style frames. (Back halved truggies ok as long as the front portion is of the ladder style)

Must have front and rear tow hooks
(center positioned mount in rear)
Rear may be removable

Body-
Minimum cab and hood required
(Scale motor required if no hood, and full tube rigs exempt from body requirement)

Tires-
Up to 5.5'' tire height with unlimited width.
5.6'' tall and up restricted to 1.5'' wide
Dually tires acceptable (up to 5.5'' and a maximum of 3'' wide total)
(Modded tires acceptable)

Wheels-
No wheel limit

Motors-
No limit

Batteries-
No limit


Dig
Allowed

Steering
4-steer and axle mounted servos acceptable

Track width
No restrictions

Misc.
Water proofing - Highly recommended (not required for all events)


Winch - recommended (not required for all events)

Changes to trucks between events will include pinions, shocks and tires.


Stock Class

General-

Box stock
Axial SCX, Tamiya CC-01 CR-01


Must have front and rear tow hooks
(center positioned mount in rear)

Rear may be removable

Body-
Full scale body

Tires-
4.5'' non modded

Wheels-
No wheel limit

Motors-
Silver can

Batteries-
7 Cell max

No dig

Steering
Front only

Track width
No restrictions

Misc.
Water proofing - Highly recommended (not required for all events)

Winch - recommended (not required for all events)


Changes to trucks between events will be limited to pinions.

Edit to rules to include taller tires and allowing tire changes between courses.

what about duals
is it alright as long as each is 1.5" wide?

We decided that Duals will be acceptable with restrictions.

Tow point rule added.
This is a good rule of thumb anyways, but the rear center mount will be used in the pulls and tug O war. That being said the center rear mount can be removable, but I would suggest making it strong.

Can you run tire chains in any of the events or add them between events?
