Default 09/10 Season Final Points Standings

The 2009-2010 LMRCC season has come to an end and it was down to the wire for some spots. This was our second season and another great one. It was a long wet season and I thank all the competitors for coming out rain or shine (or bear) to make this another great series. I want to thank all the organizors and volunteers for all thier hard work and determination without your help we could not have pulled it off. And finally I want to thank Crawl Canada and the local hobbie shops for thier donations and support.

Some of the stand out moments in my mind are:

Lil`Lucifer winning and taking the trophy on a world tour
Copious being beat beat twice in one season
some of the novices just schooling us pro guys ( I can`t remember names but you know who you are)
trying to finish half a course of off camber uphill climbs with no passenger rear tire or axle
4Mods for being 4Mods ( sorry if i`m ever too serious for you. )
Rain rain rain rain..........first comp killer sun last comp killer sun rain for the rest

Post up your stand out moments and memories from this season

Now down to the nitty gritty.

1 Copious -644
2 BC4RUNNER -187
3 Dan -117
4 Kraqa 138
5 Mattyj 171
6 Big B 172
7 Lil Lucifer 798
8 Jrad 1029
9 4Mods 1061
10 Von Clod 1476
11 Rockspider 1573
12 Miller 1907
13 Big Skop 1972
14 Rockrawler 2255

The novice class didnt end up having an overall points race but I would like to thank all of the novices for coming out and having fun with us. Some stand outs would have to be Alphatee, the kernal and Troy. Hope to see you in the pro class next season.

Congrats to all the competitors and I look forward to a very exciting and fresh new season next time. Please post any ideas on how we can make the LMRCC comp season better for all of you.

Greg

Haha, great season indeed! Thank you all for putting up with me in the heat of competition, as there is nothing like picking on the focused. I did try to help out as much as I could threw out, even giving line tips!
Bc4runner, you are by far one of my faves to bug and you can never be to serious for me man. Keep it up! The mix of people we have come out meshes well and we all have a great time, hell I love watching Vertigo kick his truck at other people!
Keep it up all, crawling rocks has become religious to some and that rules to part of something so big!

Top 10 baby! lol... have fun!

I have a few thoughts.

One thing…we need more new people:
-I have no idea the advertising that is done but I’m sure the LHS can do better. Perhaps offer incentive to the LHS to pimp it to customers and in turn banners can be placed throughout the courses to be seen by the competitors and people in pictures.

-I think it would be worthwhile to make your first comp free to enter. That tway there is little barrier to entry for someone who is on the fence. Let’s face it , RC people are cheap.
-I think it would be beneficial if there were two newbie courses set-up that were easier. Running the intermediate on the pro courses is much easier; however not everyone wants to be frustrated for 6 minutes.

Second thing…We need more competitor involvement.
-Pre paying for the season is a great idea. Perhaps offer a discount if you pay all at once. 7$ per event or 5$ each if you pay at the beginning of the year. Again RC people are cheap.
-Maybe a price breakdown of where the funds are going? Personally I could care less if they go right into Copious’ pocket since he is the one who runs this thing with no return. Hell it should go into his pocket.
-Offer up a mandatory rule that each competitor must set-up at least 3 courses throughout the year. This eliminates the need to have Copious set them up all the time and creates variety.
-More bonus lines!!!
-Maybe hold a few at whytcliff? IOCO is cool but it is the same thing over and over. Maple ridge park was cool I liked it but it was much for some. Even have a creak side crawl down at that park would be cool. We have rock crawlers but that doesn’t mean they need to be on rocks all the time. Even a comp in the bush/trails section would be a nice mix.
-Try mixing up the type of comp. 6 min cone dodging is cool and I can do it all day long. Hell I would prefer to. But perhaps a timed run, no points for back ups just time infractions for rollovers/touch and see how many gates you can get through in 2 min. or some variation on that.

These are just my thoughts off the top of my head. I love the LMRCC and I will continue to go to all events I can. I’m not suggesting this because I am unhappy with anything. These are just some areas that might get a bit more interest.

thanx for all the work put in..sorry i couldnt be any help this season as work is killing me..lol i dont think i even made 50% of the comps this go around..comeing back strong for next season
i think the judging deal with everyone in the gruop judging eachother speeds things up and i like it
i guess its up to us to get others out..i,ve got a few buds im sure are in next season..maybee everyone should set a goal of bringing 1 new competitor to the mix for the next season, and maybee a scaler/tough truck/trail truck type comp might be fun ..big thanx to Jay, Gregg,Big B, 4Mods and everyone else

Keep the great ideas coming. And Copious is part of a team of people behind the scenes making this happen. It's not just one guy, or this might not have made it to the end of the 09/10 season. We still need more help and more involvment to make this better year after year.

i like the idea of some scale comps. like a scale rock crawling comp, easier lines but u would be using your scale truck or even some comp for the scale trucks in the bush. had a great time this season good works guys!
