Feature Club

rcoRC Ottawa
We are Canada's nations capital RC group, we are called RCO short for RCOTTAWA, our website is : www.rcottawa.com and www.rcoutaouais.com, we are located 10 minutes from downtown Ottawa, Ontario on the Quebec side in the city of Gatineau.

I (Myself) have been with the club for 17 years racing Onroad electric RC (1/10 & 1/12pan's and Sedan's), but the club dates back 25+ years and got started at Ottawa U (Ottawa University) at Porter Hall, since those times the club as been using unused space in shopping malls and community centres around the city up until 5 years ago when we got established in our permanent facility at 74 Greber (Gatineau, QC) in a 9000 sqf facility, with currently have 40 to 50 active members.

We have been primarily been a on-road racing club for as far as I can remember but now we have Out-door Off-road an Outdoors Spec Nitro behind Dynamic Hobbies in Nepean Ontario which is covered by RCO membership, indoor racing is available year round but is mainly active from September to April , from May until August its time to go outdoors.

September 2008 we (RCO) took the bull by the horns and rolled up our secondary indoor micro racing track and that gave us a 30 x 30 feet area for us to use and start our indoor crawling layout.

We now have Crawler meetings 2 times a month, we get 15 to 20 drivers at each of these events.

We are looking forward to spring time and summer to plan some crawling meets in the region at designated spots.

RCO President

Our Top 6 Finishers

March to October, 08

Crawl Canada's first major online competition was a great success!
Our idea of having the online scale build off was that any of our members could join up and compete regardless of their location. With RC Rock Crawling being so popular and local meets and competitions popping up everywhere it was time to let the scale builders shine. In the end, not only were there some beautiful scale rigs, there was an overwhelming amount of support and participation from our members.

Congratulations to all who made it to the finish line!
Out of 15 official entrants, 8 made in by the Deadline, beautiful work guys.
